Guild-Format Flagship Transformation
Transitioning from catalog warehouse to luxury boutique.
Following market shifts, the showroom becomes an intimate guild-style experience on Westheimer & Gessner.
Inside The Era
By the early 1990s, Houston Jewelry intentionally downsized into a guild-format boutique that emphasized personal relationships over warehouse volume. Custom benches were installed adjacent to consultation lounges so clients could see wax models and gemstones alongside CAD sketches.
GIA-trained experts, Andre Pailet couture cases, and champagne previews transformed the store into a destination for proposals and milestone gifting. The same white-glove framework shapes our modern bridal-and-custom studio and appointment-only events.
